Japan has a long tradition of adopting element from a foreign culture and modify them to suitable for our purposes harmoniously.
Unlike mass production cooperage, at Ariake our barrels are handmade, casks charing are done old fashioned way which mean our craftsman skills play a significant role in our process.
Whisky-makers has been using oak for almost century in Japan but maturing shochu in oak barrels is a relatively new practice.
Ariake Sangyo was founded in 1963 by Odawara Toshio, the company headquarter located in Fushimi the heart of sake brewery district in Kyoto.
A limited edition premium shochu, carefully selected and present by Ariake Cooperage.
