Whisky-makers has been using oak for almost century in Japan but maturing shochu in oak barrels is a relatively new practice.
Ariake Sangyo was founded in 1963 by Odawara Toshio, the company headquarter located in Fushimi the heart of sake brewery district in Kyoto.
